About me

Hello. My name is Miriam. I am a Humanistic Counsellor, registered with the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists.

I was born and grew up in Scotland and have lived in London and the south east for 30 years, moving to West Sussex in 2019.

I started my career as a librarian, and then moved into the charity sector, supporting people with a learning disability and their families with advice and guidance.

I began studying to be a counsellor in 2023, and qualified in 2026. During my studies I have worked with clients in the community and in a healthcare setting.

I continue to study at Chichester University, working towards a degree in Humanistic counselling.

As a young person, therapy was a transformative experience for me. It helped me gain self-acceptance and supported me through painful but important changes in my life.

My hope is to offer you the space and openness to find a way forward that is right for you.
